1. Agreement
By creating an organisation, signing in, or using BantuAccounts (including the public tax calculator), you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you use the service on behalf of a business, you confirm you have authority to bind that business.
2. The Service
BantuAccounts is cloud accounting software for invoicing, bills, banking, journals, reports and related tools. It is designed for Zimbabwean businesses and others who choose to use it. Features, pricing and local tax tables may change as the product develops.
3. Your Organisation and Books
- You are responsible for the accuracy of data entered into your organisation, including journals, invoices, bills and the chart of accounts.
- Posted journals are treated as the source of truth for financial reports. Draft work is excluded from those reports until posted.
- You must keep access credentials confidential and only invite people who are authorised to see your books.
- You remain responsible for statutory filings, tax returns and any accountant or auditor you appoint. BantuAccounts does not file returns for you unless a specific feature says otherwise.
4. Tax Calculator and Estimates
The Zimbabwe tax and income calculator produces estimates from published tables. It is not tax advice, not a ZIMRA filing, and not a substitute for a qualified practitioner. Always confirm amounts against current law and your own records before you pay or submit.
5. Acceptable Use
You must not:
- misuse the service, probe it without permission, or disrupt others;
- upload unlawful, infringing or harmful content;
- share an organisation with people who should not see its books;
- present BantuAccounts output as an audit opinion or certified accounts.
6. Subscriptions and Trials
Paid plans, trials and billing are described on the pricing page and in your organisation settings. Fees are billed in the currency shown at checkout. If a payment fails we may suspend write access until the account is in order. You can cancel from billing settings; access continues until the end of the paid period unless we state otherwise.
7. Data and Confidentiality
Your ledger data belongs to your organisation. We process it to provide the service, keep it available, and improve reliability and support. See the Privacy Policy for how personal data is handled. You must have a lawful basis to enter personal data about customers, suppliers and staff.
8. Availability and Changes
We aim for a reliable service but do not warrant uninterrupted access. We may add, change or withdraw features with reasonable notice where practical. Material changes to these Terms will be posted on this page.
9. Liability
BantuAccounts is provided as a bookkeeping and reporting tool. To the extent permitted by Zimbabwean law, we are not liable for lost profits, incorrect filings, or data you entered in error. Our aggregate liability for a paid organisation is limited to the fees paid for that organisation in the three months before the claim.
10. Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Zimbabwe. Disputes that cannot be resolved in good faith may be taken to the courts of Zimbabwe.
